When this is the right answer

Is custom software right for you?

It usually is when

An existing product nearly fits, and the gap is costing you every week.

The real system is a spreadsheet, a group chat and three inboxes.

You want to offer your clients something nobody else sells.

You're building a product of your own and need someone to build it.

It usually isn't when

Something off the shelf would do the job once it's set up properly.

One of my fixed-price packs already covers it.

I'll tell you which on the first call.

What I build

The kind of things I make

(01)

Portals for your clients and members

Somewhere clients log in, see where things are and send you what you need.

(02)

Internal dashboards and tools

The spreadsheet and the group chat, replaced with one place the team can trust.

(03)

Intake and onboarding flows

Forms, checks and documents collected in one pass, with no re-keying.

(04)

Document and records tools

Files gathered, checked and filed where they belong, with nothing lost in an inbox.

(05)

Marketplaces and two-sided platforms

Two groups of people who need to find each other, agree terms and pay.

(06)

Tools your business offers to its own customers

Something you can give, or sell, to the people you act for, under your name.

Ladies Who Lit

3,000 members

A women-only book club and reading retreat with around 3,000 members, which was running bookings on Google Sheets and its community on WhatsApp. I built a member portal where members join, book retreats, track what they've paid and meet each other. Welcome emails, payment reminders and tracking run on their own, AI keeps an eye on it all, and anything that needs a person goes straight to the team's phones.

Why it costs less than an agency

Why the numbers are lower

£10k–£35k

what UK agencies typically quote for a simple tool or first version, and £30,000 to £100,000 for a customer portal.

Red Eagle, 2026

My prices are lower because I keep the scope tight and because it's one person building with AI rather than a team to pay for. The trade-off is that there isn't a large team on call, which is why agreeing the scope carefully matters so much.

What you own

Everything, in your name

The code, the hosting, the database, the domain and every account. There's no lock-in. If we stop working together, or you hire your own developer, they pick up a documented codebase.

Built to be trusted with client data

Data is stored in your own accounts, in a region we agree. Access is limited by role, backups run automatically, and a data processing agreement is signed before any personal data goes in. Anything the software sends to your clients can be set to need a person's approval first.
