Who I am
Guy Habgood trades as a sole trader under the name Guy Habgood, at guyhabgood.co.uk. I'm the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact me at hello@guyhabgood.co.uk or 20 Jesty Road, Alresford, SO24 9JA.
What I collect and why
When you book a call: your name, email address, firm name, rough team size and anything you tell me in the booking form. I use it to hold the call and follow up afterwards. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.
When you take the scorecard: your name, email address, firm name and your answers. I use them to work out your score and email your result. If you ask me to, I'll also use them to follow up. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
When you ask for the AI Kill Switch plan: your name, email address, firm name and the tools you tell me about. I use them to write and send your plan. The legal basis is your consent.
When you email me: whatever you choose to send. I use it to reply.
When you become a client: contact and billing details, and anything needed to deliver the work we've agreed. The legal basis is our contract. Where I handle your clients' data on your behalf, you're the controller and I'm your processor, under a separate data processing agreement.
When you visit the site: I don't use analytics or tracking cookies, so I don't collect information about your visit.
Who else handles your data
I use a small number of services to run the business. Each one handles data only to provide its service to me.
Google Workspace, for email, calendar bookings, forms and documents
Netlify, which hosts this website
Make.com, which moves information between my systems
Airtable, where I keep track of enquiries and projects
Stripe, for card payments
Some of these providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on approved safeguards such as the UK's adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
Enquiries and scorecard results that don't lead to work: 12 months, then deleted.
Client records: for as long as the law requires, usually six years after our work ends.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and object to how I use it. Email hello@guyhabgood.co.uk and I'll respond within a month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
AI and your information
I never put personal information from enquiries or the scorecard into public AI tools. More about how I use AI is in the AI and data statement.
