Licence and terms for digital kits

Guy Habgood · guyhabgood.co.uk · Last updated September 2026

These terms apply to AI governance kits and add-ons bought from guyhabgood.co.uk. They sit alongside the receipt you received when you paid.

1. Who we are

The kits are sold by Guy Habgood, a sole trader, of 20 Jesty Road, Alresford, SO24 9JA. Email hello@guyhabgood.co.uk.

2. Your licence

When you pay, you get a licence for one firm to use the kit. "One firm" means one business and its partners, directors and staff, at any of its offices.

You may:

  • edit, adapt and rebrand the documents as much as you like for your own firm
  • share them with everyone who works for your firm, and with your own professional advisers
  • publish your finished client FAQ and client wording, for example on your website or in your client documents

You may not:

  • share, sell, give away or publish the kit, or any part of it, to anyone outside your firm
  • use it to provide services to other firms
  • remove the "last reviewed" dates in a way that would mislead anyone about how current a document is

If you run more than one firm, or belong to a group, email me and I'll suggest a fair price.

3. What the kit is

The kit is general guidance, mapped to published material from the regulator named on your edition (for the General edition, to UK law and ICO guidance) as at the "last reviewed" date on each document. It isn't legal advice and it isn't tailored to your firm. Your firm is responsible for deciding whether each document suits it and for approving it, ideally with your compliance lead.

4. Delivery

Files are delivered by email straight after payment. If they don't arrive within an hour, check your spam folder, then email me.

Where a kit includes a video, the link is in the start-here guide. Videos stay available for at least 12 months from purchase.

5. Refunds and cancellation

Because the files are delivered straight away, I can't refund a kit once it's been downloaded. At checkout you're asked to agree to immediate delivery and to confirm you understand this. If you bought the wrong edition, email me within 14 days and I'll swap it.

If a file is faulty or missing, tell me and I'll fix or replace it. That doesn't affect any rights you have by law.

6. The written review (Complete with review only)

  • The review covers your AI use policy and approved AI tools register, as described in the kit.
  • I'll send it within five working days of confirming I've received your documents. One round of comments is included.
  • Please send your documents within 90 days of purchase.
  • The review is a practical check against published guidance and the kit's approach. It isn't legal advice.
  • Please don't send any client information. If you do, I'll delete it and ask for a clean copy.
  • The optional 30-minute follow-up call must be booked within 30 days of receiving your review.

7. Annual updates

The annual updates add-on runs for 12 months from payment and renews each year unless you cancel. Cancel any time before the renewal date by emailing me or using the link in your receipt. You'll receive revised documents whenever the kit is updated for a change in regulator guidance, and at least once in each 12 months.

8. Credit against the team AI rollout

If you book the team AI rollout within 60 days of buying a kit, the price you paid for the kit comes off the rollout fee. The credit applies once per firm.

9. Liability

I take care to keep the kits accurate and current, but regulator guidance changes and every firm is different. To the extent the law allows, my total liability to you in connection with a kit is limited to the price you paid for it, and I'm not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions your firm makes using the kit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

10. Your data

I use your details to deliver your order, send updates you've paid for and keep accounting records. See the privacy notice at guyhabgood.co.uk/privacy.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
